1982 Customs

It was first reported that a senior Tory MP was caught with child pornography by a customs officer in 1982. In fact the arrestee was a businessman called Russell Tricker, but the video showed a senior Tory Minister having an unspecified sex act with a child.

The officer, Maganlal Solanki, passed the material on to his superiors. No action was taken, and superior Customs Officers have tried to stop him from talking about the case. Videotapes and paperwork have gone missing. The officer, now retired, cannot reveal the name of the Tory because of the Official Secrets Act, but as at July 2014 he has passed information on to 2 MPs who are considering whether to name the alleged perpetrator in Parliament.
